Day two

Day two of my journey begins with a simple brownie, in a cup of course! while the cupcakes were cooking, i made my batch of cream cheese frosting. the cream cheese fell on the floor of course. so i began to fold the melted butter in, and it curdled. so much that it was disgusting.
I let it cool, put a big grainy blob on, a blueberry on top, and gave them as a gift. I didn't hear back from them at all.

Day One

This is day one of my cake biz and I've decided to go all out with the new name.
'Cake in a Cup'
Pretty ingenious, yet it was inspired by my first creation, the cupcake. I made a simple vanilla cake, with a fluffy, vanilla mango buttercream. With my star tip, I swirled the cream into a perfect spiral.
Oh, you're all thinking, this girl is a prodigy! But it didn't start that way, no it didn't. The cake mix was from a box at Trader Joe's, the icing tasted nothing like mango, it was more of a soup and didn't even pipe. The frosting came more like a covering, a layer of liquidy sugar. When the cakes came out, I made my second batch of frosting, thicker with more flavor. Who knew you weren't supposed to add a lot of milk?
Anyway, my adventure is on its way, with pictures coming soon on demand.
